Data and purposes

Information you provide may include your identity, email, postal and telephone details, account and order data, and communications with customer service. Information needed for an order is used to prepare it, process payment, deliver it and provide after-sales service; these operations are based on performance of the contract or pre-contract steps you request. Some data is also needed to meet statutory obligations, particularly accounting duties.

Operation and security of the website also involve technical connection information and the trackers described below. Accepting sales terms or simply continuing to browse is not general consent to personalised advertising or all trackers.

Providers and recipients

Data does not necessarily remain inside the business: relevant information may be shared with providers involved in hosting and technical operation, payment, delivery or support, depending on the requested service and applicable obligations. Where payment uses PayPal, that provider handles payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. The Google advertising services described below also involve processing by third parties.

Google AdSense

The website uses Google AdSense to display ads. When this service is used, Google and its partners may process browsing information such as an IP address, the page viewed and cookie or other tracker identifiers, depending on settings and your choices. Advertising purposes and partner information are presented in the consent manager. Also consult Google’s explanation of data collected on websites using its services.

Cookies and managing your choices

Trackers strictly necessary for a requested service, such as login, the basket, language or remembering your choices, may qualify for the statutory consent exemption. Other trackers, particularly advertising trackers requiring consent, are subject to your prior choice. The manager allows you to accept, reject or customise the proposed purposes; refusal is not implied acceptance.

You may change or withdraw consent at any time. Use the cookie or privacy-choice management link in the footer when present, or the manager’s settings on the relevant service. Browser preferences can block cookies, although this may affect some functions.

Retention and security

Retention depends on the purpose: account management, fulfilling an order, after-sales follow-up, evidence or a statutory obligation. Accounting documents and supporting records are notably subject to the ten-year statutory period in Article L123-22 of the French Commercial Code. This does not mean all browsing data should be retained for ten years. Consult the relevant manager or provider’s information for tracker durations and associated recipients. Contact us to learn the period or criteria applicable to data about you.

Power E-Bike is committed to protecting confidentiality and integrity and handling correction requests. Measures must be appropriate to the data and risks. Do not send a full bank-card number or security code in a message to customer service; use the payment provider’s interface to pay.

Third-party services and transfers

External websites reached through links and payment or advertising providers have their own privacy rules. Some processing may involve transfers outside the European Economic Area; their policies describe processing locations and safeguards. Consult Google’s and PayPal’s information for the relevant services.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction, object to certain processing and request portability of the relevant data. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. An erasure request may be limited by a statutory retention obligation. To exercise your rights, email [email protected]; proportionate identity verification may be required. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, CNIL.
